Review of A Bigger Splash (2015) by Stephen G — 12 Mar 2016
Great performances from all the main actors but especially from Ralph Fiennes. It's really great to see an actor who so often plays buttoned-up characters really let rip. He is supremely annoying, like a 6 year old child constantly poking you in the arm.
Dakota Johnson is also excellent, going through the film with the look that says "You think that? Well, I'll just let you carry on thinking it" (props to my wife for that). I could watch Tilda Swinton forever, the emotions passing over that magnificent architecture of a face like the shadows of clouds across a mountain landscape.
If they ever get to doing a biopic of David Bowie (which they surely must) then she has got to be favourite for the lead.
