"A Better Tomorrow" is Hong-Kong Action Cinema defined. As far as I'm concerned, John Woo has never come close to this film in his State-side work. The action sequences are big, violent, and impeccably coordinated.
Chow Yun-Fat is the pinnacle of cool in this film.
