The Topic of this Film revolves around the controversial-topic of Immigration (the U.S Situation). A Better Life offers more than just another tale of a struggling immigrant. The film is excellently acted, the dialogue is on point with its Spanish, and the dilemma which Immigrants and their Families face is brought into full light.

I, being of Mexican Descent, and having close-ties with the subject, am deeply touched by this film. As I watched 'A Better Life,' I thought about the things that I had, the tiniest things are the ones that we take for granted.

I am thankful that I have parents who are now residents and I am thankful for their hard work, dedication, and the fact that they raised me and put a roof over my head. To a certain degree, after watching this film, I felt so selfish and spoiled, it made me feel like I had more than what I deserve.

I recognize the importance of family, and how essential education is, and that nothing is earned without hard, rigorous work. So many thoughts and feelings came about from this Movie, I don't know, I guess it has to do with who I am and where I came from.

I recognize that my Parents work hard and I respect them for that--even though I disagree with them on many things. Great Film--watch it, if you're Latino, you'll definitely love it.
