Review of A Better Life (2011) by Claudia F — 01 Mar 2012
The daily life of an illegal gardener, and single father In L.A. He is Carlos Galindo (Demian Bichir), and besides the fact that he is always afraid to be caught by the police, he is a lot worried about the future of his teenager son, Luis.
The man who he works with is going back to Mexico, and he has a chance to buy his truck, and maybe send his son to a better school - far from the low-life and gangs. His fears and worries are so strongly silence and alive - that is why he got an Oscar nomination for Best Actor.
It is worth watching, and don't forget a pack of Kleenex.
