I think it had true to life, solid points to make, but it felt a bit cliched at times. I wonder how filmmakers in Mexico would feel about it. Bichir delivered a damn fine performance for sure, but I don't think he should have beat out some of the other performances (as he was nominated for an Oscar).
Definitely watchable though, all around.
