Review of A Beautiful Mind (2001) by Ryan G — 18 Jun 2011

I felt lost while watching A Beautiful Mind, and I mean that in a good way. A good word to sum it up is dreamlike, I felt like I was in John Nash's Shoes and it was really a strange and beautiful experience.

Ed Harries truly gives one of the best performances I have ever seen the fact that he was not even nominated for an Oscar proves that those awards really mean little to nothing. I cant praise Russel Crowe enough every performance he gives is absolutely golden.

Jennifer Connelly with a grace and beauty is able to hold her own with Russel Crowe in the very intense dramatic scenes with ease, the oscar was very well deserved. Christopher Plummer is just one of the all time greatest everything he touches much like Crowe turns to gold.

Paul Bettany who is one of the most under appreciated actors of his time delivers a somewhat haunting performance. Brilliant Performances, Fantastic writing, and very good directing from Ron Howard make this movie very memorable.

I know people say it gets worse over time however I was sad to see it end, while it is important to portray a person accurately, I'm reviewing the movie not the accuracy.
