First off, Michael Shannon performs very well here. A memorable effort on his part that hopefully leads to more work.

The rest of the film starts very promising, but ends in an overly-simplistic, unrealistic, and poor thought-through Hollywood cliched ending that is meant to identify with people who lost their homes. Very disappointing ending to an otherwise notable little film.

Really wish they would have stuck with the path they were on.
