Review of 99 Homes (2015) by Peter F — 14 Feb 2016
A film about a deal with the devil amidst the backdrop of the 2008 economic crash? Sign me up! 99 Homes is a timely morality tale about the housing market, that just also happens to feature two outstanding performances.
The impeccable Michael Shannon shows he can do wonders even as a sleazy conglomerate type, and Andrew Garfield gives his most mature performance yet. May prove to be the sleeper success of the year.
