Review of 976-EVIL (1988) by Jared F — 09 Jul 2007
Fun 4am waste of time. It served it's purpose--to kill a few hours rather than sleep. Robert Englund rocks and his directorial abilities are competent at best but he'll always be Freddy Krueger... I think there was some underlying theme of lost children--desperate cries for help against overly strict rules enforced by society and parents... but that all got lost. Oh well, it really needn't be more than 4am shit.
Stephen Geoffreys was actually really good as the religious kid-cum-hellspawn. I hear he went on to do gay porn later in life... strange. Patrick O'Bryan was great too--he has a strong screen presence. Oh and Lezlie Deane is hot as shit...
So yeah, whatever. Not one of my better reviews, but what's one to say about such a shitty movie? It's good for what it was. See it if you just want to kill 2 hours.
