Review of 976-EVIL (1988) by Ryan S — 24 Oct 2010
This movie was just bad. I had high hopes, with Robert Englund's debut behind the camera, but it appears he's much more suited in front of it. Although, I can't really pin it on his directing, it's the writing that's bad and he had nothing to do with that.
The acting is decent and Stephen Geoffreys performance was actually quite good, too bad his career died and he had to turn to gay porn. The plot just isn't very interesting or very frightening and doesn't keep you entertained.
This isn't the top of cheesy movie that's so bad it's entertaining, it's just bad and really not fun to sit through. If you're a Robert Englund fan and want to watch this because of his involvement in it, don't bother, stick with his acting roles.
