I'm really surprised when people don't see this movie for what it is. The acting is terrible. Nicholas Cage sucks. But, the story and the hint that Juaquin's character gives about getting caught up in the snuff film industry, and how Nicholas' character actually does is a great story.
Watch it again and try to get the message of the movie. It is one of my favorites that I have seen again and again, simply because I am so drawn to the story. Alcoholism, drug addiction, sex addiction, snuff films.
