Review of 8MM (1999) by George I — 31 Aug 2011
Im not much of a fan of Cage but I am a fan of very dark disturbing films and I have to say this film is Intense, Original, Phenomenol, Exceptional Acting, while also being a bit devastating and sad but, real and thats most important than anything else.
Not only was the script very real but the characters are not characters but real people and that was extremely crucial to this film. I must say this film must be seen by all people(over 18) because its something to be exposed to and understand that the world has more dimensions than Good, Bad, Evil, but realize theres another slice of it and thats Sadistic.
I find this film to be important I mean I was aware of this world existing but I acknowledge its existing by staying completely clear of it. The film is dark and sadistic and exposes one to a world more terrifying than any horror movie.
I give Nicholas Cage great credit for making great choice of recognizing a film that stands alone in a genre that is only held with few films.
