Review of 88 Minutes (2007) by Jeremy W — 07 Dec 2009
This physiological thriller was physiological torture I give it to Al Pacino if it wasn't for him I wouldn't have wasted my time. That seems to be exactly what I did though.
Pacino plays a forensic psychologist professor (Jack Gramm) who has put a serial murderer (Neal McDonough) in jail who in turn tries to get his revenge. From jail he attempts to kill him by giving him 88 minutes left to live and figure out the plot. Within 15 minutes the story seems stale. Although the acting was decent the dialogue was not very believable. I felt bored and lost waiting for the ending I knew was coming.
For the money they spent for this movie I think they would have been better off using cheaper actors and payed for a better writer. In my opinion this movie was a flop and I don't recommend it to anyone.
