Review of 88 Minutes (2007) by Matthew B — 19 Mar 2009
One star, and that's being generous. This film has plot holes big enough to drive a truck through (or a flimsy *prop* porche... you'll know what I mean). For someone who has just received a serious death threat, Pacino's character sure doesn't seem to care, or do anything that would show his character has a brain.
We see the clues but he ignores them, much to the our frustration. The story is confusing and doesn't really answer any questions until the ridiculously stupid ending. Then it's the old and tired "bad guy reveals his overly complicated and silly plan to the good guy before killing him.
" Will the bad guy prevail? Nevermind. On top of all that, this film just looks and feels cheap.
