Review of 88 Minutes (2007) by Manny C — 30 Dec 2010
It feels it's way longer and more contrived. Al Pacino is stuck in what is essentially a CSI rip off that's half as entertaining. Pacino is Jack Gramm, who works in forensics for the FBI and teaches at a Seattle university.
It's there he has to contend with a horny student (Alicia Witt) and a serial killer (Neal McDonough) who has arranged a series of copycat murders, as well as a mysterious caller who informs Pacino he a has only 88 minutes to live.
Ugh. To make things worse, Jack's semen is discovered in the body of a dead call girl. Pacino hams it up so much he's glazed and the script by Gary Scott Thompson defines stupidity and inanity.
