Review of 8 Women (2002) by Angie M — 23 Jan 2010
The movie is all fireworks and delicious campiness. With a cast boasting of a bevy of talented and gorgeous actresses, it's a delight to simply watch the chemistry sizzle, the sparks fly, and the interactions turn crazy.
While it's hard to pick a favorite from among them all, and all of them had their shining moments in the film, Isabelle Huppert did have a slight edge by virtue of her hilariously OTT performance as the uptight spinster aunt.
Midway in the movie, you have to accept the fact that there isn't going to be too much logic in the plot and that things will frequently get bizarre (and musical).
