This is one of the most human and emotional baseball movies since "Field of Dreams" or even back to "The Pride of the Yankees". It is a love letter to a lost, more innocent age of America's pasttime.
Barry Pepper and Thomas Jane fully embody both of these legendary figures in terrific performances.
