Despite the fact that, as a Red Sox fan, I am required by law tp hate the yankees, this is one the best baseball movies ever made... there isn't any one thing that makes this movie great. everything just kinda works.
.. thomas jane is good as mantle, but it's Pepper as Maris that steals the show... whether you like baseball or not, I highly recommend this movie... it would, however, help if you were a fan of the game.
