Most sports movies aren't good. I love sports and I wish they were, but they aren't. This one is fairly schlocky itself. However, as an enormous baseball fan, it's really cool how well Barry Pepper and Thomas Jane bring Maris and Mantle to life.
Pepper's one of my favorite actors, he's a guy I'll see most anything he's in.
