'61*' is an exciting account of the race between Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle to overthrow Babe Ruth's single-season home run record. Despite the fact that this movie deals with the Yankees, the story is one all baseball fans can enjoy because it stresses the underlying message of being competitive yet sticking together as a team.
Thomas Jane and Barry Pepper give fairly accurate portrayals of M&M, and Billy Crystal doesn't disappoint in his most recent work as director.
