Review of 6 Days (2017) by P R — 31 Aug 2018
Loved the film. Powerful, gripping, even the SAS don't want you to watch it!!
I can understand how hard it could be to breathe though the mask...I was taking every breath with them. Loved it.
As an ex-military person and Police officer I can totally relate to the film. Firstly I would like to praise the courage of the SAS operatives that took part, not only ****** but all the other professionals at the coal face, working tirelessly to produce a product our daggered friends can utilise. I do like how this film shows the behind the scenes working, if only briefly. It's still a "tip of the hat" to the profession which is always appreciated and under stated. I can't say how PROUD I am of our armed forces, I truly am. They are massively misunderstood and cast aside, even after our "modern" conflicts in Afghanistan. Yet again the government has cut the bonus' the troops get for a deployment even though they still risk their lives.
Can you imagine that kind of change in the public sector? NO! As Soldiers, Sailors and Airman we pledge our allegiance to the crown, in the small print we give up our apparent right to anything. WE give our lives to defend 'You' the public and RELEY on YOU to defend us at home, by utilising your voice and powers, our brother and sisters have paid for in blood.
Most importantly! The attitude the governing party has, towards our current serving personnel is appalling. I do believe however, that our current secretary state for defence, G Williamson is showing some gusto, pride, passion and panache in defending UK interests. Unfortunately Defense is an ugly word during times of repression, but we must be stronger than before, even during our weakest moments.
