It?s the dark that makes the light seem brighter.

Father Drake and Miss Pearce run a Catholic reform school for outcast girls. Most of the girls are delinquents; however, the school tries to reform the girls by teaching them the ancient arts. Many of the classes are conducted in Latin. When some of the girls uncover some ancient books written in Latin, and they read the enchantments, they unleash a spirit that may wipeout the school and most of them.

?I?m not as skilled as you at hiding things up my ass.?

Warren Sonoda, director of Ham & Cheese, Puck Hogs, and the upcoming Merlin and the Book of Beasts and Sleeptalkers, delivers 5ive Girls. The storyline for this picture reminded me of a cross between The Craft and Night of the Creeps. There were some positive aspects sprinkled throughout this film; however, there were not enough ?horror? scenes to make this film work. The cast was pretty good and includes Ron Pearlman, Amy Lalonde, Terra Vnesa, Jordan Madley, and Jennifer Miller.

?Beware of hope. It is the trick of the devil.?

This picture caught my attention when I discovered that it starred the great Ron Pearlman. I was disappointed at how little he was utilized in this picture. The chicks were hot and well utilized, but there were not enough horror elements in this film. Overall, this film is not worth your time?even if you are a diehard horror movie fan.

?You shall pay by the rod.?

Grade: C-.
