Review of 52 Pick-Up (1986) by Mark C — 28 Aug 2008
Above average blackmail story scripted by Elmore Leonard's from his own source material. This has a gritty edge and a good cast. Its none too deep and a little uneven in places, Ann Margret has little to do with proceedings which is strange given her characters political get-up-and-go attitude.
The film gets very dark in the snuff sequence, where the blackmailers show Scheider they mean business. Well worth a watch!
