Review of (500) Days of Summer (2009) by Ulrichd. — 05 Sep 2009
This film is ghastly. At best, it is derivative, lifeless and nauseatingly commercial. I have seen mobile phone adverts which are better, and which aspire to exactly the same aesthetic. Dialogue was pumped with references to pop culture in the same way that sub-standard meat is pumped with water.
From start to finish, the film is aimless and contrived.
