Review of (500) Days of Summer (2009) by Robert S — 18 Nov 2012
If you have ever had a romance in which your love wasn't reciprocated, then this is your film. Joseph Gordon Levitt gives an amazing performance as Tom Hansen, who might as well be named John Doe. Tom is that guy who instead of being a 5-sport athlete, watched romantic comedies.
So he has an idealistic - as we all know actually translates into unrealistic - view on romance. The moral: if you fall hard, chances are you will land on your face. No matter what's said, this is the Best Film of 2009.
