Review of (500) Days of Summer (2009) by Mango A — 29 Oct 2013
I love the non-linear storyline it goes with. This is my quintessential "I'm sad" or heartbroken movies. I find that Tom and Summer to be relatable. The editing and montage helps the story to be told in a way that it the mood of the story to be lighter than what the actual situation is if it was told in a linear manner.
I've watched this a countless times. I loved the acting in this film. It's brilliant. It's not your average rom-com. The realism of this story is much better than a Hollywood big budget film. I like how it stays true to it's ground.
