Review of (500) Days of Summer (2009) by Trey M — 13 Feb 2013
This might be a stretch, but I consider this the light-hearted and comedic version of Derek Cianfrance's 'Blue Valentine'. The aforementioned might be a lot more inappropriate, but I think they both send the same message: IT DOESN'T ALWAYS WORK.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt gives an awesome performance as a heartbroken man dealing with the grief. And he's even funny when he's sad. But he gives an honest portrayal of what some guys do when they get dumped. It's very entertaining to watch. And the music for this movie is great. Love the soundtrack. I don't wanna get too into detail with this film, but I do love it. I'm not a big rom-com kind of guy, and I'm not entirely sure this fits in that category. But if it does, this is one of the few that I enjoy. One of my all-time favorites.
