Review of 50 First Dates (2004) by Joe B — 22 Dec 2015
While soon growing old in its reliance on a single gag, 50 First Dates is a film that is sure to entertain those looking for a good, heartfelt laugh. Limited in its comedic dynamism, this film more than any other in his catalogue shows Sandler's hatred of women and love of immaturity.
Somewhat of an exploration of a popular male desire (that of the helpless female), 50 First Dates is disturbing and all too often unfunny, though a competent romantic comedy.
