Review of 50/50 (2011) by Wayne M — 27 Oct 2012
Gordon-Levitt once again shines, showing his range and deep humanity. This finely acted film is genuine, honest and warm. The story of a young man struck with cancer is handled with care, showing gentle humour and empathy for its characters.
The second half though is definitely stronger then the first as it shakes off its sometimes awkwardness and develops an ending that is believable and even a little moving.
