This young guy has a rare and extremely serious cancer on his back and needs to fight for his life. No, this isn't a drama. It has some sad scenes, of course, but the magic of 50/50 is how Will Reiser added the perfect dose of comedy to his script.
People can still find happiness in life in tough times and these characters show this in a beautiful way thorugh friendship, love and pain.
