Comedy drama about a man coping with cancer and his struggle to beat the desease. With its more comedic approach, 50/50 not only feels fresh and modern but also comes across as more effective in dealing with a serious disease than most other films which share its theme.
The film's biggest asset is also its balance between the jokes and the melodrama.
