Eddie Murphy's first film role and also the first Action Comedy that was actually action packed and laugh out load funny.
Nick Nolte plays a cop trying to catch an escaped killer, and has to free convict eddie murphy for 48Hrs to get the job done. Eddie Murphy steals the movie away from Nolte who was a huge star at the time. Reggie Hammond(Murphy) is a wise ass convict and one of the best characters Murphy ever played, My top three Murphy Roles are Reggie Hammond, Billy Ray Valentine, and Grandma Klump.

Murphy:Jack tell me a story.
Nolte: Fuck You.
Murphy: Thats my favourite.
Classic eddie, which brings me to a point I have made for years. Take his money and make him funny again.
