Review of 47 Ronin (2013) by Carter S — 16 May 2014

I thoroughly enjoyed the film. If you're not familiar with the story of the 47 ronin, you're in for a good ride. I can't say the movie was exactly what I was expecting, but it surprised me in a good way.

I think Keanu Reeves' aloofness helps his character here. I agree with another poster that said that the film had a bit of an identity crisis in the manner of not knowing exactly how fantasy driven it wanted to be.

If nothing else, you're in for a fun story with good special effects.
