47 Ronin isnt an entirely bad film. Its alright I guess. The acting is mediocre. The effects are mediocre. The script is mediocre. Reeves is mediocre. The entire film will draw "meh"s from the audience.
So why only 2 stars? Shouldn't a mediocre film at least get 2 1/2? Not in this case, and for one very good reason. The film cost 175 million to make. And it looks like it cost ten times less than that.
In terms of a film, its ok. In terms of its budget, its a monumental failure.
