There is at least one movie every year that gets terrible critic reviews that I actually enjoy. Last year, it was After Earth. This year, it is 47 Ronin. The movie feels like a first draft and could have used some polishing, but overall was a fun samurai/fantasy film.
The main problem was that the story was undecided on who the main character was.
