You know what movie 47 Ronin reminded me of when I watched it? Krull. Pretty dumb, pretty pointless, yet some how I didn't hate it. I actually liked Krull, but the spectacular musical score I think makes that pic, where 47 Ronin is just good for brushing up on your Japanese accent.
I mean, you could write 7 Saturday Night Live skits busting on Keanu Reeves alone. I'll give it this, it tries. The movie really tries to be something good, but man it just can't do it.
