I can applaud this movie, but most will write it off for my love of KR, samurai and fantasy.
Most of the critics are right, it's flat, dour and/or solemn, but to me that doesn't mean it's a bad flick. I think it means the expectation was wrong. Honestly I expect a flat performance from Reeves, like I expect a quirky performance of J.Depp.
So here's my review. I liked it.
