Review of 47 Meters Down (2017) by Sean R — 16 Jun 2017
I really wanted to give this movie a full 5 stars but there are a few errors that comes along with a movie. There a lot of things that happen in Hollywood that would never happen in real life. for example, if someone is doing CPR on someone, that person is not going to magically wake up without an AED or something, lol! sorry to ruin 90 percent of movies lol. Enough with my rambling, let's get to the point. A shark would almost never attack a human, but for the movies sake, pretend like sharks attack humans all the time. The movie does a great job of doing what is supposed to do, cause suspense, but there's a lot of logic missing in this movie. That is why it cannot receive a full 5 s.
Tars, it makes the same mistakes that many horror movies do. What I will say is I have not seen a good shark movie since Jaws, the first and best one that is, and this movie was able to put itself up there in making people fear the open ocean and sharks as well so I am very impressed with this movie, just a bit disappointed. Go and see it though.
