Review of 47 Meters Down (2017) by Garrett R — 25 Jun 2017
Not a definite classic or a great film, but 47 Meters Down is a very tense, surprisingly atmospheric suspense tale that takes place in the closest thing we can call Hell: the bottom of the ocean surrounded by blood hungry sharks.
It's short, it's sweet, and it gets to what you want to see very quickly. Most of the characters that we do see in the film are pretty much non existent, and only there to provide more reason for the plot to move forward, but no one in the film made me roll my eyes or hate myself watching their journey.
And the ending definitely threw me for a loop in a direction I didn't quite see coming, but probably should have.
