Review of 45 Years (2015) by Michael D — 25 Jan 2016
Interesting piece about lifelong love and the corrosive effects of past relationships that were never abandoned. Rampling does an excellent job in her understated way of portraying the steadfast wife, and Courtenay plays well as her insensitive senile husband.
Believable work that will spark thought and conversation. Rampling's nomination is more than a lifetime achievement award - her character seems authentic. This one's definitely worth your time.
