Review of 45 Years (2015) by Paul K — 15 Jul 2016
The best movie we've watched for a while. Very low-key, and all in the acting and the facial expressions. The story of a life and of a marriage, overshadowed by hidden history. I suppose it would appeal more to people of our age than young ones, and it's very perceptive about our generation and its experiences and values.
Rampling and Courtenay are excellent, and the adaptation has been well done. We'll be talking this one over for a while.
