This a rather subtle, yet poignant portrait of a married couple who've been together over the course of four and a half decades. Other than the remarkable performances from Charlotte Rampling and Tom Courtenay, the thing that I admired most about this film was the fact that it had no need to be too dramatic or flashy with its subject matter and instead played it off rather subtly and naturally.
Overall, it's certainly not for everyone, as it does require some patience while watching it, but this is a film that for some should evoke a keen response due to it's subtle and natural style that make it feel so realistic often times.
