Review of 0.45 (2006) by Matthew R — 11 Jun 2008
Well, if you want to see Milla Jovovich actually acting, she does in this movie - I was quite impressed! It seemed light-hearted to begin with, like some kind of sick sit-com, but steadily trod the ground of disturbing and gritty abuse story.
More of a 'sit-trad', if you will with a warped view of justice. It was powerful and emotional, but the frequent sex-scenes seemed to be there, just for the sake of taking this 'thriller' into 'sexy thriller' catagory, and were just unnecessary.
The twist was a little unconvincing but this movie's real strength was in it's emotion and mildly inspired direction.
