Review of 44 Inch Chest (2009) by Chris G — 16 Jan 2010
Ray Winstone's ferociously intense performance makes the best of a haphazard script, which is at times darkly comic and at others needlessly surreal. As a profane, play-like examination of feeble male pride, it works best, thanks to stellar supporting turns from John Hurt, Ian McShane, Stephen Dillane and Tom Wilkinson.
