Review of 44 Inch Chest (2009) by Neil P — 16 Jan 2010

Definitely not what I was expecting and not sure if that's good or bad. I thought it was going to be a gangster Geezah revenge film and while there's aspects of that, it's more about a guy being devastated by being cuckolded.

The dialogue is snappy and sweary and all the cast are excellent but I can't help shake the feeling this should have just been a stage play as everything from the screenplay to the static direction suggested it.

It was still enjoyable but anyone expecting to see a cockney gangster film should think twice.
