Review of 4.3.2.1 (2010) by Katy E — 05 Jun 2010
Noel Clarke goes all Tarantino for his third film, a tale of four young women accidentally involved in the aftermath of a diamond heist. Told as four separate stories that overlap at various points this certainly scores points for ambition - where it loses out is in storytelling, acting and editing.
Two of the four storylines border on boring and the link between them all is, at times, rather tenuous. Clarkes constant objectifying of women is also hard to take at times, with all four leads at one point or another ending up in the underwear.
Clarke hasnt really built on the success of his first 2 films, and needs to do better with his next film.
