Review of 4.3.2.1 (2010) by Helen E — 06 Oct 2010
Forget what stuffy and mostly male critics write about this film ,its refreshing to see a Brit film with 4 very strong female leads.
Noel Clarke is fast becoming a talent to watch and this film proves that he really is part of a leading pack making interesting British Movies.
The story follows 4 girls over the course of 3 days and how their individual stories interlink iinto one final night.
Clarke has obvioulsy seen the Pulp Fiction and Go template and his take on it works very welll indeed with of course a Hitchcoock Maguffin in a load of stolen diamonds.
All threee story strands work largely thanks to the 4 largely unknown female leads ,it also helps that Clarke managed to get Michelle Ryan,Plan B ,Mandy Patinkin, Ben Miller and a very Funny Cameo from Kevin Smith who Clarke has huge respect for.
The film is funny and quick on it feet,I feel Clarke is going to be huge in no time at alll.
