Review of 42nd Street (1933) by Timothy M — 14 Jul 2006
An interesting film about the making of a stage musical. It has some boring, and poorly acted melodrama splashed in, but if you get past that, there's an entertaining, albiet typical sequence at the end, and a fine performance by Warner Baxter.
A sad ending, as well. Much better than I expected. Worth a look.
