Review of 42 (2013) by Peter C — 12 Sep 2013
No, not The Meaning of Life, according to Monty Python. But the shirt number and title of Oscar-winning director Brian Helgeland's biopic about Jackie Robinson, the first African-American to play Major League Baseball.
Overly righteous, sentimental and worthy. Could have done with a bit more spit and grit. But quietly enjoyable nonetheless. And good to see Harrison Ford in curmudgeonly mood.
3/5.
