Review of 42 (2013) by Jeremy G — 12 Nov 2013
There is a few movie brought the football concept and now this movie brought the most second famous sport in USA, baseball. the story is about Jackie Robinson. he is the beginning, hero and role for baseball history.
born to be black, he struggled and suffering same as another black people. regression and racist still strong after world war II. that`s why Branch Rickey(Harrison Ford) interested to change that problem through baseball.
this is a pure, strong and brave movie. the execution didn`t boring at all because good directing by Brian Halgeland. very great acting by Harrison Ford and Chadwick Boseman. based on true story, the named of this movie taken from the number of Jackie at Brooklyn Dodgers.
a legendary number in baseball history. but if you want enjoy this movie perfectly you must know a little bit about baseball, it rule and it gameplay. because this movie brought the technical thing for support concept and plot.
overall this is very enjoyable movie and it will make you believe in heroes again.
